Morally Hollow

A battle with no just cause, a front of pride, honour, and liberty, put into play, safeguarding the callous disregard for human worth. Scapegoats we become, thrown into a paradox of morals, placed upon us by those who hollow their hearts to fill their wallets. To be tempted through promise of liberty, and have your own liberty revoked in the process, is this cause to be ambitious towards? If Independence is what you fight for, then in your grave, the depths of your sorrow, Independence is what you will achieve. As necessary as taking ones own life, an inevitable end is predicted, though that does not confirm virtue behind the act. To jeopardize the life we fight to protect, by fighting for it, is as virtuous as to prevaricate one's self, there lies no logic behind it.
